Why? Unpacking the Questions Judaism Has Been Asking for Millennia

Thursdays, starting May 8

What We Will Cover

Ever wondered why Judaism asks so much of us? Why we light candles, keep kosher, argue with God, or wrestle with ancient texts in modern times? This thought-provoking series dives into the why behind Jewish practice, belief, and identity. Each session unpacks one big question, sometimes timeless, sometimes timely, and explores how Jewish tradition, wisdom, and debate have shaped the answers. From Shabbat to suffering, from chosenness to charity, this class is for anyone who’s ever asked, “But why do we really do that?”
